Charles & Debbie Brush have been actively involved in stock car racing since 1987.  Charles began helping a co-worker, Eric Armstrong with his #18 street stock at South Buxton Raceway & Ridge Raceway.  After several years, Eric was asked to drive the #67 late model for Harlow Haskell, Bob Ross & Brad Armstrong.  This run lasted until 1993.  Charles also helped Charlie Colby & Reid Gill #87 for several years.  In the meantime, with Charles in the pits, Debbie helped out on the grandstand side running the Jr. Fan Club (Ridgetown, 1992-94 and south Buxton, 1995, 2001-2002)

       In 2003 Debbie and Charles Brush started the ODLM, Ontario Dirt Late Models group.  They saw a need for a fresh approach to dirt late model racing using UMP rules.  They hosted 3 successful race events at Gasport & Brighton Speedways in 2003.

       The year 2004 is one each they are racing UMP shows in 4 states representing the Ontario Dirt Late Models.  A 2004 schedule for ODLM is still questionable.

       Charles is a mechanic at BFI Canada in Chatham. While Debbie is a former nursery school supervisor college teacher, now is self-employed embroiderer.

       They have 2 children, Andrea who is 22 and Jacqueline who is 16.  Both are actively involved with the 2 car team of BAT Motorsports.

About the Driver

       Paul Turner hails from Picton, Ontario. That is near Belleville, which is 7 hours from Chatham. Paul is self-employed with "Paul Turners Garage".
       Paul has been racing for about 27 years. His home track was always Brighton Speedway. He has been Brighton's Late Model Champion in 1988, and 1997, Dirt Series Champion 1989, 1992 & 1995. He won the 1st & last former Can-Am Dirt Series. Paul won the 1987 Street Stock Championship in Brighton and was rookie of the year in the Sportsman Class at Brockville Speedway. Paul was voted Brighton Speedway's fan favourite more then any driver in the history, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 & 1997.
       Paul has raced at many tracks in the northern New York State. He enjoys racing very much & looks forward to making the trips to various tracks in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania & New York State.

** Other venues that may be raced at in 2004 can include any dirt track in Canada and the U.S.

NEWS

       In March 2004 we recently purchased a MasterBuilt complete car.  The number of this car will either be 29 or 91.  The driver is to be announced, but look for a veteran driver to be behind the wheel. The cars are both being worked on to make them more competitive.  We plan on running UMP dirt late model shows.  The Ontario Dirt Late Models group does not have a schedule for 2004.  They have been awaiting word for Gasport/Niagra Motor Speedway to announce thier late model schedule.  In 2005, a major sponsor will announce a partnership with the ODLM.  In the meantime, any team from the ODLM group, will represent Ontario at various race tracks throughout the states.  Unfortunatley, we will not be racing at either South Buxton Raceway or Oshweken Speedway, as they do not support UMP late model rules.
